The night photographs on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra are reportedly significantly enhanced

If a recent rumor is correct, buyers of the next major Samsung phone may soon receive a significant increase in night photography skills.

When Samsung finally releases the Galaxy S23 lineup in the early months of 2023, we’re already expecting major things. According to rumors, at least the Ultra model will have a new 200-megapixel camera. The phone will offer buyers the biggest improvement in nighttime photography in five years.

According to a recent message by Twitter leaker Ice Universe, “it proves that S23 Ultra’s night photographs are quite strong.” They continue by saying that they are “far better” than the images from the Galaxy S22 Ultra flagship from the previous year.

Of course, there are still many unknowns, but it appears plausible that the 200-megapixel sensor will use some pixel binning. That should assure that low-light photography will improve, but we can probably anticipate Samsung to also incorporate some computational photography into the mix.

This year, it will be easier to do so because Samsung expects its top model to include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and at least 12GB of RAM.
